Our Story

Designed & made in small editions in Brighton

Rose Honey’s ethos is in making quality, meaningful and responsible jewellery in small editions. British jeweller Beth Chaplin is committed to the Circular Economy: Re-cyling, Re-using, Re-purposing - whether using vintage beads or re-cycled precious metal in the Lost Wax casting process. Clients can exchange their unwanted precious jewellery using The Swap service for a Commission, Workshop or new Jewellery that they will wear and love. Beth is keen to continue specialist craft traditions like the Lost Wax Casting Process and use wherever possible local resources in her home town of Brighton.

For her first limited edition collection for Rose Honey, Beth was inspired by 4 gold charms saved from her Grandma’s charm bracelet. She cast replicas of these charms and hung them on chains, with Baroque pearls and vintage and semi-precious beads.

Subsequent Collections include the Willow Collection, castings of real willow turned into twisted bracelets and earrings; Tiny Shell Collection using tiny shells found on a local beach that are hand cast in eco silver and 18ct Gold Vermeil, and the Poppy Collection, inspired by the geometry and fragility of a poppy, her favourite flower.

Her popular Jewellery Carving Workshops in and around Brighton and the Jewellery Carving Kit enables you to design & make your own perfect silver and gold jewellery. The Wedding Ring Carving Kit is perfect if you want to make each other’s Wedding Rings and add an even deeper connection.

Rose Honey is Beth’s niece who is often a model for her jewellery.
